Creating awareness on Waste Management along with BBMP, using AR

One of the biggest challenges with waste management in a city is awareness among citizens or rather the lack of it.

Majority of us do not know what goes into the dry waste bin and wet waste bin or not aware of the challenges when waste is incorrectly segregated.

Do we know what happens after the team from BBMP collects waste from homes, public spaces?

FlippAR worked with BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike), the administrative body that is responsible for all civic amenities in Bangalore, to engage with citizens in creating awareness about Solid Waste Management among the citizens of Bangalore. This involved making the bins AR enabled, setting up of AR signboards at the BBMP office, where 1000s of citizens visit it each day, and AR posters distributed to commercial establishments across the city.

Some fun stories, facts & games in Augmented Reality.
